RMW has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. RMW does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when such individuals or their employer specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis. For example, an online Authorization Form requires the collection of some personal data in order for us to be able to respond promptly and correctly to the service request. However, access to these records is highly secure and limited to authorized persons only. Information from this system may not be disclosed unless permitted pursuant to 43 CFR 2.56. The Privacy Act contains provisions for criminal penalties for knowingly and willfully disclosing information from this system unless properly authorized.

Gaining efficiencies through technology
RMW brings advantages of the electronic age to conserve resources and elevate service levels. Some of these include:

• RMW service providers interface with the RMW VEN™ information system to provide critical and timely information. This eliminates paper and saves time.
• Server Virtualization. An aggressive investment in 'virtual server' technology enables the RMW computers dedicated to software to run multiple applications with the same hardware. Less hardware means fewer recycled computers at a later date and less power consumption now for computers and their required cooling.

• From blacktop to desktop, the RMW network employs a multitude of techniques to 'reduce, reuse, and recycle.'

• Utilizing automated systems that control thermostats, lighting, and power down PCs after hours to optimize electricity savings.
• Initiating smart policies for data retention that reduce power load on servers.
• Replacing big, bulky CRT monitors with energy-efficient flat panels. The U.S. government EnergyStar program states that a flat screen uses as little as one-half the energy of a CRT.
Printing only when necessary and avoiding color printing.
• Printing sales literature on recycled paper.
• Using document-imaging systems to eliminate paper copies.
• Recycling all unneeded paper in the offices
• Having all supply chain providers upload documents to RMW rather than mailing hardcopies.
